Sweet Shakespearian Success!

All three plays are now cut and tripled for six men. Oh, and it feels good. Starting on a rough costume plot for all three shows. Time for drink.

Just around the river bend!

Sweet VICTORY!!! I've been working on cutting and triple roles for the three Shakespeare plays I'll be in this summer: R&J, Tempest, and Twelfth Night. As of today the cuts have all worked out for all three and we have successfully split the characters in R&J and Tempest for six men. HAHAAA!!! In the next few days we will hopefully get Twelfth Night tripled.

I've also been coaching high school students in musical theatre for Solo & Ensemble. This is proving to be quite fun and rewarding. In top of that I have agreed to help construct and repair costumes for Playtime Productions, a touring theatre company for young kids. (I'm just glad I have an excuse to use my grossmutter's sewing machine.)

So everything so far is going fairly smooth, but I just can't wait to get out east in less than two months!!!!! SO CLOSE!!!!!

Little update:

The rest of my European Danventure was great, but am extremely happy to be back in the good-old-pie-eating-cheese-curd-frying-snow-covered-US-of-A state of Wisconsin. I've been doing some dog and house sitting and trying to look for a part time job, but as I'm only here for two months, this is proving rather difficult. Here's looking to summer!

Switzerland to France via Milano and Monte Carlo in three days!

Took the freeway through the alps. It started to snow in San Bernardino and then was foggy the rest of the drive through Lugano, Lake Como, and down to Milan. For the record, Milan is a dirty city and I did not feel safe there. Other then eating, we spent most of the time in the hotel room, which also wasn't very clean or spacious. Happy frickin' New Year. However, we did decide that it would be tolerable in the summer when there would actually be things to see and do and businesses would be open.

The day we left Milan (very early) it was clear and sunny. We drove along the gorgeous Riviera through Monaco, Monte-Carlo, Nice, and Cannes. When we got to Aix-en-Provence we had a great dinner with wine in a heated outdoor cafe in the city center.
