So today was the first day of our week long theater camp. Jake and I introduced the six kids to a ton of theater games and also began our journey creating our own 15 min children's adaptation of the Tempest. I am always amazed at the level of interest and knowledge that 10 year olds have of Shakespeare. Most of them had either read it or new the story and some even new about specific jokes in the show, like when Trinculo hides under Caliban's cloak with him he exclaims that it smells like bad fish. Unbelievable! I will say that Jake and I were way more tired then any of them. Then after they left we rehearsed the sword fight for the end of the week. I'll sleep good tonight!
